MAKING YOUR ASHFORD FLOOR LAST A LIFETIME

Once treated with the Ashford Formula, floor surfaces need regular and frequent maintenance.  This should include:

  • Daily cleaning with an automatic scrubber
  • Plenty of water
  • Between 250 and 300 lbs. of down pressure
  • Good high pH detergent (CreteClean Plus with Scar Guard is recommended)
  • Moderately aggressive brushes

Water from cleaning helps to accelerate the seal on the floor, and the abrasive action of the brushes helps to develop the shine.

THE OLDER IT GETS, THE BETTER IT LOOKS

Regular and diligent cleaning of your floor will help it develop a pleasing, marble-like sheen.  If the floor is not cleaned on a regular basis, the sheen on the surface will begin to dull, and the floor will take on a soiled appearance.

Sweeping compounds and other oil-based products are not recommended because they attract dirt.

Any marks on the floor from oil spills should quickly be spot-treated with a good emulsifier or degreaser such as CreteStrip*, especially in the early months following treatment with the Ashford Formula.

*CreteStrip is available through Curecrete Distribution, Inc.  For details, call toll free 1.800.998.5664 or locate your local field representative or distributor by clicking here.
